The types of Counselling and Psychotherapy on offer are variously described as 'person centred', 'humanistic', 'experiential' and 'focusing-oriented and have an evidence base1 for a number of different client issues including:

 Research by Tony Weston at this practice and at the Counselling Service of the University of East Anglia, Norwich shows person-centred psychotherapy is effective for a number of issues, including:

  • Obsessive-compulsive problems
  • Reduction in so-called 'negative cognitions'

Therapy groups, training courses and lectures are subject to individual arrangements.

This Counselling Service is confidential. No one will be informed that you are coming to counselling without your consent. The only exceptions to this are times when we are seriously concerned about your well being or someone you know. Such circumstances are extremely rare and we will ordinarily discuss this with you beforehand. There are some circumstances where we are required by law to disclose information e.g. ongoing child abuse, terrorist threats, drug trafficking.
